APEC conference in Bangkok

Claims have started circling the New Zealand Minister for Trade and Export Growth, Damien O'Connor, gifted a Fat Bastard Pie Club Gift Voucher to executives and top-ranking Thai officials during a recent trip to Bangkok for APEC.

It was rumoured tensions were high as diplomats quickly worked to understand if the gift was meant as an insult. Delegates scrambled to see if Thailand was inside the Pie Club delivery zones given the service is NZ based.

Fat Bastard Pies launched the new Pie Club Gift Vouchers at the start of December marketing them as “the ideal Christmas gift for a Fat Bastard”. Marketing Manager Simon Owen claimed he “had not anticipated the new gift voucher system could create international diplomatic tensions” and hoped “New Zealand’s relationship with Thailand would remain intact”.

Pie Club Vouchers can now be purchased online as a one-off payment with the ability to custom select the number of box deliveries to be gifted.
