Fat Bastards Set to Compete
May 2023 Story by the Editor

Southland Football kicked off its second division league this year with Fat Bastard Pies as the naming rights sponsor.
Fat Bastard Pies lent its name to the league, most notably renaming the league's trophy to the “Fat Bastard Cup." This move has been warmly received by the league's players, who now compete with renewed excitement to take out the prestigious title.
In addition, the partnership is introducing a new “Fat Bastard Player of the Day" award which recognises outstanding performances on the field.
This accolade adds a new layer of motivation for the players, as they strive to showcase their skills, be crowned the "Fat Bastard Player of the Day” and be awarded complimentary Fat Bastard Pies.
Fat Bastard's partnership with the second division was driven by the idea that the name and product “matched the league's participants” in size and spirit. The second division grade is more social in nature showcasing more seasoned talent and bravery, missed by the first division. It goes without saying a fat bastard is a good bastard.
